High replacement rate and high selection pressure for boars entered in AIC are security for updated breeding stock with exceptional genetic values

Replacement rate for more than 100% on whole NUCLEUS GGP breeding stock allows to NUCLEUS to always give access to its users semen from young boars meet actual requirements. Furthermore, size of different GGP populations allows selecting top best animals. For terminal boars, selection pressure is below 10%, they are around 10% for GGP animal, which allows entrance of enhancer boars in AIC and meets precise requirements. Those 2 points are basis of quick genetic progress on selected criteria.

High replacement rate combined with high selection pressure when boars enters AIC allow us to have NUCLEUS breeding boars, with higher genetic potential than our competitors and to meet perfectly actual requirements. Thus, attached table emphasizes difference of near 0.5 points on Live born genetic value for NUCLEUS compared to our French competitors.
